- Programs
Choose the path that fits your ambition
Full time and part time options for both of our state licensed programs.
Cosmetology
The complete license: hair, color, skin, and nails. Cut, color and highlight; perm and style including braiding and updos; facials and eyebrow treatments; manicures and pedicures.
Schedule
- Full time: 40 hrs per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (lunch 12 to 1).
- Part time: choose 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM or 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
- One Saturday a month is required.
What You’ll Learn
How It Works
- About one hour of lecture per day; the rest is hands on practice on mannequins and each other.
- After 350 hours, you begin working on salon clients, both walk in and by appointment.
- Finish with the written & practical state board exam to earn your Michigan license.
Nail Technology
A focused path into professional nail care, from classic manicures and pedicures to advanced enhancements and nail art.
Schedule
- Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM.
- After about 100 hours of training, you begin working on the public.
